Heal's Rules Dinnerware by Jeremy Hutchison

Heal's Rules Dinnerware by Jeremy Hutchison. Heal's Rules, in collaboration with Jeremy Hutchison, is a collection of rules translated and developed into an exclusive witty graphic range of accessories for the home. Jeremy Hutchison first worked with Heal's in February 2010 when he took part in the UCL Slade School of Fine Art and Heal's, Artists In Residence project. For this project Jeremy created an art installation inspired by 'Nothing Need Be Ugly', a historic slogan developed by Ambrose Heal in 1915 for the Design & Industries Association. Heal's Rules is based on a simple concept; that every corner of the British home is governed by rules, a kind of dictatorship with every household item telling you how you ought to behave. Teacups tell you 'Tea should jolly well come with a saucer', Bowls tell you 'Don't blow your soup' and bed cushions tell you 'No talking after lights out'. Follow our words of wisdom...because Heal's Rules.
